This is a 2.5 hour service provided by Malay Postpartum Spa & Wellness. She will visit your home one week after a vaginal birth, or four to six weeks after a cesarean birth.
Includes a floral herbal sitz bath that will be drawn for you to soak and enjoy some alone time while she takes care of your baby if no one else is home, or baby can join you! This is then followed by a 30 minute perineum steam session with herbs specific to healing the postpartum womb and body. A warm Thai compress massage is done on your abdomen before a abdominal herbal mask is applied. Then a half body massage with oil, that focuses on the abdomen (womb massage), arms, hands, neck and lower half of your legs. An application of Belly Firming Butter with the Modern Bengkung Bind is done at the end. The belly butter and the bind are yours to keep!
This relaxation experience is a gentle invitation to slow down, be cared for, and reconnect with your body. Every detail is curated so that you emerge refreshed, restored and ready to embrace this beautiful new chapter of motherhood with calm confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions
Because feeling informed is the first step toward feeling empowered.

Think of a birth doula as a birth coach. We provide guidance and care during pregnancy as well as delivery. We present a wealth of knowledge to help you navigate every birth decision with clarity. Together you and your doula will have “Birth 101” prenatal meetings where you go over many topics such as what to expect and how to feel prepared for labor. During delivery, your doula will guide you through positions, movement and breathing so we can help labor progress naturally. We also offer comfort techniques like massage, counter-pressure and reassurance to ease stress and pain. We are there to help you feel grounded, heard, and empowered every step of the way. Think of us as a calming, knowledgeable presence in your corner when you need it most.

A midwife is a medical professional trained to provide prenatal care, deliver babies and monitor the health of both the mother and baby during pregnancy, labor and postpartum. A doula on the other hand is a non-medical support person who offers emotional, physical and informational support throughout the journey. While a midwife focuses on clinical care, a doula is there solely for your comfort, advocacy and continuous presence—both roles are valuable and work beautifully together.
-
Not at all! We are there to support both you and your partner. We help your partner feel confident in how to support you and step in when they need a break, so you’re both cared for. We all work together as a team!
-
We support births in all settings. We work with your care team to create a respectful and collaborative environment no matter where you choose to birth.
-
Absolutely! Our role is to support your choices. Whether you plan to use an epidural, have a scheduled cesarean, or aim for an unmedicated birth, we are here to help you feel supported and informed.
-
We do not take insurance directly, but we can help you submit forms for reimbursement depending on your benefits from your insurance. We offer payment plans and accept FSA/HSA credits as well. You can also add us to your registry. Ask us how! Support is the ultimate gift!
-
In the rare case your doula cannot attend your birth due to illness or emergency, someone else from our team or another trusted doula would serve as a backup. They would be fully briefed on your wishes and ready to step in with the same level of care and support.
